🧬 Advanced Muscle Tracking & Analytics

Understanding how your body responds to training is key to growth. We’ve introduced a suite of tools to give you unparalleled insight into your muscle activation.

Visual Muscle Map & Activation Tracking

Instantly see the impact of your training on a dynamic body map that highlights exactly which muscles you’ve worked. Track how many sets each muscle group has received based on both your completed workouts and your program’s future projections.

Set Zones & Targets

Stop guessing if you’re doing too much or too little. Our science-based zones (Stalled, Maintain, Grow, Focus, Excess) help you visualize if your weekly sets per muscle are on track. You can even set personalized goals per muscle group to tailor your training perfectly.

Set Zones & Targets

Deeper Muscle Insights

Dive into the new Muscle Detail Screen to see breakdowns of past sets, program targets, and the specific exercises contributing to that muscle’s volume. Plus, for our Pro users, the Routine Editor Activation Inspector lets you tap muscle tags while editing routines to see projected activation, helping you balance your training schedule more effectively.

🏋️ Smarter Workout Execution

Effort Score & Deload Recommendations

Pushing hard is important, but recovery is essential. Rate the overall effort of your workout with the new Effort Score (automatically saved to Apple Fitness). Feeling burnt out? Use the Deload / Recovery Mode to train lighter for a session; weights are automatically reduced without altering your core program.

Pro tip: Steady now provides Automatic Deload Recommendations (Pro) when you’ve been pushing hard, skipping rest, or maintaining a streak of high-effort sessions.

Comprehensive Workout Review

Finished a grueling session? Use the new Workout Review feature to inspect your changes before closing out. You can choose exactly which mid-workout adjustments—like changed weights, extra reps, or added exercises—to persist back to your base routine.

🚀 Further Enhancements & Fixes

We didn’t stop at the headline features. Steady 2.0 includes dozens of improvements to make your tracking seamless:

  • Smarter Program Generation: Our generator now accounts for optimal weekly set volumes per muscle group based on your experience level.
  • Editable Session Times: Easily fix logging mistakes by adjusting the start and end times of completed sessions.
  • Refined RPE Controls (Pro): A smoother, more integrated way to log set effort right from the custom keyboard.
  • Routine Color Updates: Changing a routine’s color now applies retroactively to all associated past workout sessions.
  • Enhanced Exercise Database: Every exercise was reviewed for more precise muscle tracking. We also added a Synergistic Muscles Filter to help you find movements by their secondary supporting muscles.
  • Added Security: In addition to daily backups, an automatic backup is now created immediately after you complete a workout.
  • New Muscle Group: We’ve separated Obliques for clearer core exercise tracking.
