Pause and Resume Workouts in Steady 2.1

The momentum continues! Following our massive 2.0 release, Steady 2.1 introduces some of the most highly requested quality-of-life features to make your workout tracking even more flexible and consistent.

Whether life interrupts your gym session or you need an extra push to get out the door, this update has you covered.

✨ Highlight Features

Pause & Resume Workouts

Life happens. Whether you need to take an unexpected phone call, chat with a gym buddy, or simply step away for a moment, you can now pause your active workout. Your session timer will halt, and you can pick up right where you left off without skewing your workout duration stats.

🚀 Quality of Life Improvements

We are constantly smoothing out the friction in your workout logging. Steady 2.1 is packed with enhancements:

  • Unlimited Alternatives for All: Custom alternative exercises (now called “My Alternatives”) are no longer a Pro-only feature! Everyone can now save as many personalized exercise swaps as they like.
  • On-the-Fly Supersets: Decide to link two exercises together mid-session? You can now build a superset directly from the active workout screen.
  • Apple Fitness Integration: Your routine name is now proudly displayed directly within your Apple Fitness workouts app history.
  • New RPE/RIR Controls (Pro): We’ve designed a sleeker, more intuitive input for tracking your Rate of Perceived Exertion and Reps in Reserve.
  • Session Start Time Editing: You can now adjust the start time of an ongoing workout to keep your logs flawlessly accurate.
  • Rest Interval Persistence: Choose whether on-the-fly changes to your rest timer should apply to just the current session or persist to future workouts.
  • Easier Exercise Selection: A new “Select this Exercise” button directly in the exercise details screen saves you extra taps when building routines.
  • UI Polish: Enjoy even more of the fluid Liquid Glass design with refined interactions across the app.

🛠 Notable Bug Fixes

A smoother app means a more focused workout. Here are some of the fixes included in 2.1:

  • Routine Cap: Added a sensible routine cap of 7 per program (one for each day of the week).
  • Minimum Weight Increments: Adjustments to minimum weight increments made during a workout now correctly persist for future sessions.
  • Progression Logic: Fixed an issue where deleting the last unfinished set didn’t properly trigger progression or PR checks.
  • Clean Keyboard: The RPE button is now intelligently hidden on the keyboard during warm-up sets.
  • Fixed a visual bug where exercise thumbnails could appear shrunken during active sessions.

Update to Steady 2.1 today and keep your progress uninterrupted! Stay Steady.
